Six provinces in the East and the South have been warned to brace themselves for heavy rain that could trigger flash floods and forest runoff today and tomorrow. He warned that heavy downpours could trigger flash floods and forest runoff in six provinces in the East and the west cost of the South over the next two days. In the East, three provinces expected to be affected are Rayong (Khao Chamao, Klaeng and Muang districts), Trat and Chanthaburi. The department has coordinated with disaster prevention and mitigation offices in those provinces to be on full alert for heavy downpours. The Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted more showers and heavy rain in many areas of the country between Saturday and Wednesday.
